Hello! I’m Eric Garcia, an independent author, school social worker, runner, book lover, and coffee enthusiast.

My journey as a writer began while working with students in my therapy practice. I was searching for children’s books that could truly connect with them. Inclusive books with diverse characters that sparked meaningful conversations, taught through imagery, and created space for emotional growth. What I found instead was a gap. That’s when I realized the power of creating stories that speak to the heart. A lesson I carry into every project is this: Speak from the heart, and listen with the heart. This belief, paired with storytelling, led to the creation of From the Heart Stories.
